Vindicia IDP 2.0 is new deployment of ULM (Connect). It allows Merchant users to manage extended user settings such as adding new users, setting roles for users, resetting passwords and more. The main change in process when using Vindicia IDP 2.0 is that Vindicia IDP 2.0 (AKA ulm_proxy) becomes the source of truth for uers and their assigned roles. Vindicia Portals receive this information from ULM when redirecting the authenticated user back to the Portal. Accordingly, for merchants configured as Vindicia IDP 2.0 (ulm_proxy) all new users for these merchants are created first (and only) on Vindicia IDP 2.0 Console and not in Vindicia’s Portal.0 user management tool. In order to configure the merchant as a Vindicia IDP 2.0 merchant, the IDP merchant configuration will need to be configured for ulm_proxy provider and activated. New tenant creation on ULM will be performed by the OPS team. The new merchant creation follows this process: New Vindicia IDP 2.0 merchant creation flow Parent topic:Vindicia Portal Users and Authentication

Configure Vindicia IDP 2.0 (ULM_Proxy) for Authentication and Authorization

  • The relevant merchant must already be created in the system
  • Ensure you have the merchant’s MAC document or Retain Onboarding doc and received any guidance about increasing security for password reuse or lifetime. For details, see Password Requirements
  • For Vindicia IDP 2.0, open a ticket based on M1OPS-5383 template with the M1 OPS team (Guilermo Betanzos) - two day turnaround expected. Include details of the environment needed (Staging/Prod), the relevant Portal (Retain/Subscribe), relevant merchant details (Merchant ID, display name and business domain) and details of an initial merchant user that will be receiving Super user and Care representative permissions.
  1. Using an Admin user, access Subscribe Portal 1.0 https://secure.staging.us-west.vindicia.com/login/secure/
  2. Select Admin > IDP Merchant Configuration The IDP Merchant Configuration screen appears.
