You can enable your subscribers to redeem a Coupon for a gift Subscription through your online storefront. To enable this functionality, you must use the Subscribe APIs.

Basic Scenario

Subscriber redeems a Coupon for a Subscription.

Pre-Condition

  • The subscriber has a valid credit card or PayPal account.
  • You have set up an account with your payment processor of choice and Vindicia has been authorized as a presenter on that account.

Post-Condition

  • A proper Subscription with Account and Payment Method objects is created in Subscribe.
  • The initial Transaction is generated if applicable, including any applicable taxation.
  • Future billings are correctly predicted.
  • The Account has been granted appropriate Entitlements.
  • The Coupon has been marked as redeemed in Subscribe.
