The Subscribe Merchant Portal is a web-based interface to the Subscribe system for both administrative and customer life cycle management. This portal is intended for use by Merchant representatives for development of the product catalog, review of business data and reports, customer service representatives providing service to customers, and administration of merchant users. Subscribe Merchant Portal supports personalization per user locale and also offers multi-language interface (currently available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese). Additional language support can be added upon request. The Portal itself is divided into 3 main areas:
  • Catalog Activities: The Catalog section provides access to the Subscribe objects that define your offerings, the price points, and billing schedule. For more details, refer to Subscribe Catalog in the User Guide.
  • Billing Related Activities: The Billing section lets you monitor and manage the main billing related entities such as customer accounts and payment methods, subscriptions, and transactions. For more details, refer to Billing in the User Guide.
  • Insights: As its name suggests, this section provides insight as to your business performance with access to Subscribe Reports that provide valuable data as well as activity related information. For more details, refer to Insights in the Subscribe User Guide.
The portal is developed multi-platform technology allowing it to run on web, iOS and other operating systems. Subscribe supports the following browsers for accessing its web portal:

  • Microsoft Edge v88+

User Authentication

Vindicia products are built to keep data secure and compliant and meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) SSAE-18 SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 requirements and ISO 27001 security requirements. Accordingly, Vindicia’s merchant Portal users sign in to the Portal via Vindicia’s IDP (Identity Provider) app. Users define their own password and can reset it within the simple-to-use Identity Provider app. Vindicia’s IDP supports all PCI and ISO required security measures such as complex passwords, Multi-Factor Authentication, and the use of unique passwords. It also provides an additional security layer for Vindicia portals, helping to protect against unauthorized access. Optionally, Merchants can request to use external user authentication via their Identity Provider using OIDC-standards. Support is currently available for OKTA IDP and Microsoft Azure. For more details and requirements, see External User Requirements.

Portal User Roles

Subscribe Merchant Portal provides access based on user roles and their assigned permissions:
  • Business Manager and Business Users: Responsible for the merchant offering and product catalog. The users can see business-related analytics.
  • Customer Service Manager and Representatives: This user interacts directly with the customers and handles customer data. These users can access and edit information regarding the customer account, subscription and billing details. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.
  • Super User: The high level administrator of the merchant account. This user has access to all the areas in the Portal. Additionally, this user is responsible for authorized user management using Vindicia’s IDP Care console and contacts Vindicia client technical support to add a user.
  • Exception Analyst: This user handles supporting data and may investigate issues and trends. Therefore the user can access and edit customer accounts, transactions and chargebacks. The user can view the product catalog items but not edit them.
