Gift cards are prepaid cards used to purchase products. The Gift card holds an amount of money and currency that can be redeemed to Subscribe. The gift card object holds the information of the card itself but does not allow to redeem it, instead use Gift Card Redemptions. Tip: A single call to the Gift Card Redemptions object is recommended rather than using the Gift Card subobject. The gift card redemption call combines checking the status of the gift card with the provider (Topps) and redeeming the gift card to the account as a currency credit. Two objects support Gift card functionality:
  • Gift Card Redemption: This is the main endpoint that is used to redeem the gift card .The merchant calls this endpoint when a customer wants to use a gift card. When this object is created, it also creates the Gift Card Object.
  • Gift Card: This object holds information about the gift card itself and is created alongside the Gift Card Redemptions object or independently.
For more information, see Gift Cards in the Subscribe OpenAPIs located in the Developer Hub section of the Knowledge Center. Parent topic:Endpoints
