Merchants require the proper Card-On-File (COF) indicator for every transaction that stores customer card information in its data vault. To meet this requirement, proper indicators to identify Customer initiated transactions (CIT) or Merchant Initiated transactions (MIT) have been implemented for the following processors in this release. This is supported by both interfaces (SOAP and REST):
  • Paymentech Stratus
  • Cybersource
  • Orbital: SOAP and Retain API will support CIT/MIT indicators. For Retain, New COF fields have been added to the Retain SOAP API, and the Retain File structure.
    • Note: REST COF support will be added post this release (VIN-8020).
