- Customer uses storefront to make a purchase and provides Venmo as payment method
- Merchant requests the venmo payment_method_nonce (A secure, one-time-use reference for payment information) for the transaction from Braintree (payment provider providing the Venmo payment method).
- Braintree (payment provider) provides the temporary Venmo payment_method_nonce to the merchant.
- Merchant sends Vindicia the Transaction request with the venmo payment_method_nonce details.
- Vindicia Subscribe sends the Transaction auth request to Braintree including a request for the Venmo token (long-term Venmo reference that replaces nonce) and requesting token vaulting (saving)
- If the Transaction is authorized, Braintree returns a success response to Vindicia Subscribe.
- Vindicia stores the Venmo token. Available in the Payment Method endpoint in external_token
- Vindicia sends a transaction auth success response to the Merchant.
- Merchant notifies customer that purchase succeeded.
