# Payment Method Methods Mapping

The following table contains Payment Method SOAP methods and the equivalent REST operations:

| SOAP Methods | Rest Equivalent | Comments |
| - | - | - |
| `fetchByAccount` | `GET /payment_methods?account=<accountid>` |   |
| `fetchByMerchantPaymentMethodId` | `GET /payment_methods/<payment_method_id>` |   |
| `fetchByVid` | `GET /payment_methods/<payment_method_id>` |   |
| `fetchByWebsessionId` |   | Will not be implemented. See the [SOAP Operations not Implemented in REST](SOAPOperationsNotImplementedInREST) topic. |
| `update` | `POST /payment_methods/<payment_method_id>` |   |
| `Validate` | `POST /payment_methods` |   |
