# Testing Transactions in the PayPal Express Checkout Sandbox

To test transactions in the PayPal sandbox:

1. Go to the PayPal sandbox at the redirect URL (the `PayPal.returnUrl` defined earlier).

2. Log in with the customer (buyer) email address and password (created for the sandbox). PayPal displays the details of the transaction.

3. Review the information and click **Continue**.

   If PayPal directs you to the page specified by `payPalStatus.returnUrl`, your test on the customer's experience is successful and complete. At this point, the transaction status in the Vindicia Subscribe Portal sandbox reads `Authorized`. After batch capture, the status changes to `Captured`.

4. Exit and log into the PayPal sandbox with the merchant (seller) email address and password (created for the sandbox.)

   PayPal displays the details of the transaction, which can be checked against the same transaction in the Vindicia Subscribe Portal sandbox.
