# Amazon Payments Implementation

## Overview: Amazon Payments Login and Pay with Vindicia Subscribe 6.0+

Vindicia Subscribe supports Amazon Payments’ Login and Pay with Amazon payment method for both one-time and recurring payment transactions. Unlike credit cards and most other electronic pay methods, this payment option requires an initial interaction for approval by the subscriber using web-page widgets provided to your front-end buy flow by Amazon.

This article provides details for supplementing the standard Amazon integration instructions with the use of Vindicia Subscribe API methods to permit the use of this payment option with commerce managed using Vindicia Subscribe. Use these instructions together with the integration guides provided to Sellers by Amazon Payments, described in the following table:

| Guide | Description |
| - | - |
| [Pay and Login with Amazon Automatic Payments Integration Guide](https://developer.amazon.com/docs/amazon-pay-automatic/intro.html) (See also: [Integration Guides and API References](https://pay.amazon.com/help/201212380).) | (Primary Documentation) This is the primary implementation and integration reference for employing the Login and Pay With Amazon payment option on your customer-facing sites. Except where specifically noted in this document, it can be followed as-is. |
| [Amazon Marketplace Web Services Off-Amazon Payments API Section Reference (Version 2013-01-01)](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/mwsportal/doc/en_US/offamazonpayments/MWSOffAmazonPaymentsApiReference) | (Supporting Material) This guide offers detailed API documentation for the Off Amazon method calls—those not managed within the Amazon-provided widgets. |

## Feature Summary

After an initial subscriber approval at the point of purchase, this payment method can be used without further subscriber interaction for recurring Subscription payments as well as one-time transactions resulting from immediate updates (upgrades, modifications, and so on) as well as subsequent stand-alone one-time purchases.

To provide the greatest flexibility in the employment of the Login and Pay with Amazon features, Vindicia has designed its integration to work in conjunction with Amazon’s with minimal changes to the suggested approaches.

* To offer this payment method with Vindicia Subscribe managed commerce, Vindicia API methods are substituted at the end of the buy process, replacing the **Place Order** and **Confirm Order** steps of the suggested flows.

  * In this manner, both the **Login with…** and **Guest Pay with…** options remain available.
* Off Amazon API methods can be optionally minimized or avoided altogether unless shipping fees are calculated based on the shipping address stored within Amazon.
* Refunds, when needed, are processed using Vindicia Subscribe’s standard API or portal approaches.
* Limited billing address information is available from Amazon without special consideration.

## Availability and Limitations

To participate in Amazon Payments services, you must currently have a US-based legal entity. While the service can be used with any Amazon customer globally, all Amazon Payments transactions are settled in USD.
