## 2021.11.01 Patch Release

Production Release Date: December 9th, 2021

## Subscribe Features

This release includes the following new Subscribe feature:

### Push 2.0 - Multiple partition support for Subscribe messages

In this release, Subscribe has been updated to send Push 2.0 notification messages to multiple Kafka topic partitions. The number of Kafka partitions are configurable and are based on the Merchant Customer ID (merchant\_customer.id). This distributes Push 2.0 notification messages for a Merchant across a configurable number of partitions on the same Kafka topic but uses the same partition for messages related to the specific merchant customer to preserve message ordering. This enables parallel execution of multiple M1 WebHook containers (one per topic partition). The feature improves scalability and performance of message delivery to the Merchant endpoint while still maintaining ordering for messages related to a specific Merchant Customer. m

## Bug Fixes

| Ticket | Title | Description |
| - | - | - |
| VIN-14003 | External Billing processing performance issue | External billing had low Transaction numbers, which meant that batch creation would block any additional batch process until the maximum batch size was achieved. This caused performance issues on a BRD.A configuration variable, `BRD_Max_Cycle_Stall`, was added to allow configuring the maximum wait time (in seconds) to build a batch at the Vindicia configuration level. When the maximum batch time is met, the batch is submitted regardless of the number of transactions in the batch. This implies that the number of items in a batch may be less than the max batch size. |
