# Update a Payment Method

Update an existing Payment Method.

**Note:**

Even though this is a sub-object on an Account, using this endpoint is the only call that can update a Payment Method.

## HTTP Request

`POST https://api.vindicia.com/payment_methods/:payment_method`

## Route (URL) Parameters

## Query Parameters

None.

## Accepts

JSON - This request supports the same arguments as ‘create’ (a full [Payment Method](Payment_Methods) object) excepting the behavior of the **id**; providing an **id** or **vid** in the URL indicates to Subscribe that this is an update, not a create – as such, **id** and **vid** cannot be updated.

## Returns

JSON - A full [Payment Method](Payment_Methods) object with Payment Method type subobject detail.
