# Transaction Refund Item

## Attributes

| Name | Type | Description |

| transaction\_item\_index\_number | decimal | Sequence number assigned upon creation to a [Transaction Item](Transaction_Item) by Subscribe. Either the Transaction Item Index Number, or the SKU must be specified for each Refund Item. |
| sku | string | SKU on the original transaction line item (**sku** need not be passed in if the **transaction\_item\_index\_number** is passed in). If the SKU is passed in, and can be used to uniquely identify the transaction refund item, it will be used, else an error will be returned. |
| description | string | Output only. A description of the Transaction Refund Item which will be filled in by Subscribe from line item description on the original [Transaction](Transactions). |
| amount | decimal | Amount of the requested refund for this item, in the currency of the overall transaction. This amount must not exceed the original [Transaction Item](Transaction_Item) amount minus discount(s), minus the sum of all prior refunds against this item. Currencies may not be mixed on a single [Transaction](Transactions). This field may be left blank if the **tax\_only** field is set to **true**. |
| tax\_only | boolean | If this is true, the **amount** parameter is ignored and the refund amount will be the total of as-yet-un-refunded taxes for this item. |
| taxes | [Tax Item](Tax_Item) | Read-only array to list the taxes from the original [Transaction Item](Transaction_Item) that are being refunded. |
