# Entitlements

The entitlement object represents the access to services to which a customer is entitled. Entitlement can reside at the Account ([granted directly to the Customer](Grant_Entitlement)) or the Subscription level (granted due to purchase of a subscription item-product or billing plan on an active subscription).
