# Campaign Codes

Subscribe Campaigns are discounts, such as special offers or limited-time pricing, you can apply to your Products or Billing Plans and are handled by the [Campaigns](Campaigns) object. Campaign Codes are the codes provided to customers that are used to redeem the campaign.

Subscribe provides two types of campaigns and the relevant codes associated with them:

* **Promotion Campaigns**: These allow you to generate a single Campaign code that can be distributed to multiple customers. A promotion code is not unique to individual users and is typically publicly available through mass distribution.
* **Coupon Campaigns**: These allow you to generate a set of unique Campaign codes. Coupon Campaigns are often highly targeted. Coupon codes are generated by the system based on prefix and separator input from you and can be defined as single-use codes, for which redemption is allowed only once for every unique code, or multi-use codes, for which the number of allowed redemptions of each code is defined.

  **Note:** The list of coupon codes can only be generated via Subscribe Merchant Portal.
