# Billing Plans

A Billing Plan represents a pre-defined billing and pricing schedule. Every subscription is billed according to its assigned Billing Plan. A Billing Plan can be a complex object made up of one or more Billing Periods, each of which have configurable rules for how many cycles they repeat, as well as other billing, entitlement, and communication rules.
