# Creating Reason Codes

1. Click the **+ New** button and select **Reason Codes**.

   The Reason Codes page appears.

2. Define the Reason Code fields as needed. Refer to the table below for guidance regarding the fields.

3. When you're done, click **Save**.

   You can return and edit the Reason Code **Description** only at any time.
