# PaymentMethodType Subobject

Describes the type of PaymentMethod.

**Note:**

Subscribe does not support partial payments data for the Merchant Accepted Payment `paymentMethodType`.

Subscribe does not support the `CarrierBilling` or `Boleto` Payment Method Type with `AutoBill.migrate`.

| Value | Description |
| - | - |
| `Amazon` | The payment method is Amazon. |
| `Boleto` | The payment method is Boleto Bancário. |
| `CarrierBilling` | The payment method is Carrier Billing. |
| `CreditCard` | The payment method is credit card. |
| `DirectDebit` | The payment method is direct debit. Subscribe supports direct debit payment methods in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria. |
| `ECP` | The payment method is electronic check through the ACH network. |
| `ExternalBilling` | A subobject that specifies the details of an external billing system. |
| `HostedPage` | The payment method is HostedPage. **Note:** The customer’s Account must exist before any Hosted Page related call references that Account. |
| `MerchantAcceptedPayment` | The payment is manually entered by the merchant. |
| `PayPal` | The payment method is PayPal. |
| `Token` | The payment method is Tokens. |
