# Chargeback Methods

The following table summarizes the methods for the `Chargeback` object.

| *Chargeback.fetchByAccount* | (This method is not in use.) |
| [Chargeback.fetchByCaseNumber and fetchByReferenceNumber](Chargeback_fetchByCaseNu) | Returns one or more `Chargeback` objects whose case or reference number matches the input. |
| [Chargeback.fetchByMerchantTransactionId](Chargeback_fetchByMercha) | Returns one or more `Chargeback` objects for the transaction whose ID assigned by you (`merchantTransactionId`) matches the input. |
| [Chargeback.fetchByStatus](Chargeback_fetchByStatus) | Returns one or more `Chargeback` objects whose status matches the input. |
| [Chargeback.fetchByStatusSince](Chargeback_fetchByStatus_1) | Returns one or more `Chargeback` objects whose status has changed since the specified time stamp. |
| [Chargeback.fetchByVid](Chargeback_fetchByVid) | Returns a `Chargeback` object whose VID matches the input. |
| [Chargeback.fetchDelta](Chargeback_fetchDelta) | Returns the `Chargeback` objects whose status has changed since this call was last made. |
| [Chargeback.fetchDeltaSince](Chargeback_fetchDeltaSin) | Returns the `Chargeback` objects whose status has changed since the specified time stamp. |
| [Chargeback.report](Chargeback_report) | Reports a batch of Chargeback objects to ChargeGuard. |
| [Chargeback.update](Chargeback_update) | Creates or updates a `Chargeback` object in the Vindicia database. |
